Think toast is boring? Think again! I will show you two healthy and outrageously delicious ways to eat your toast.
Walnut Pesto Toast with Sliced Pears and Gorgonzola Cheese
Serves: 4 servings
Ingredients
- Pesto:
- 4 ounces extra virgin olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons walnuts
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup fresh basil leaves , torn
- ½ pear, sliced
- ¼ cup crumbled gorgonzola cheese
- sliced walnuts for topping
- 4 slices of Dave's Killer Bread
Instructions
- Add ingredients to make the pesto to high speed blender or food processor in the order displayed.
- Blend until smooth.
- Toasts bread until light brown.
- Spread pesto on toasts.
- Add sliced pears and top with cheese and walnuts.
- Serve immediately.
Strawberry Almond Butter Toast with Chia Seeds and Chocolate
Serves: 4 servings
Ingredients
- 4 slices of Dave's Killer Bread
- ¼ cup almond butter or another nut butter
- 1 cup sliced strawberries
- ¼ cup chia seeds
- ¼ cup chocolate chips, melted
Instructions
- Toast bread until light brown.
- Spread 1 tablespoon almond butter on each piece of toast.
- Top with sliced strawberries, chia seeds and melted chocolate.
- Serve immediately.
