griddled breakfast burgers

By Jordan Isom of Fire Food Family

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1-2 lbs ground beef

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 russet potato peeled and shredded

  • 4 strips of bacon

  • 1 pkg DKB Burger Buns Done Right

  • 4 slices white American cheese

  • 4 tablespoons butter

  • 4 tablespoons avocado oil

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat griddle to 450 F.

  2. Place 1 tablespoon of butter and oil on griddle and add half of the shredded potatoes. Form them into the shape of your burger and cook for about 3 minutes per side.

  3. While the hash browns finish up, add 2 ¼ lb balls of ground beef to the griddle. Season and smash the burgers. Flip after 2-3 minutes and season again. Add the cheese to each patty and set aside.

  4. Cook down your bacon until crispy and set aside.

  5. Next add 2 tablespoons butter to the area where the bacon was cooked. Crack the egg into the butter and leftover bacon grease. Cook the egg until the white part has cooked through but the yolk is still runny.

  6. Now let’s toast the buns! Add some more butter to the griddle and place buns down. They should take a few minutes to get toasty.

  7. Lastly let’s assemble the burger. Start with the bottom bun and add some sauce of your choosing. Next go with the hash browns, then the cheeseburger patties, followed by the bacon and fried egg. Don’t forget to smash the yolk when you add the top bun and enjoy!
