BIG DAWG CHILI CHEESE DOG

1 lb ground beef
1 small yellow onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp tomato pasteServes 6
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
½ cup beef broth
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp cumin
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper

6 all-beef hot dogs
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup diced red onion
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley orchives (optional)
Yellow mustard, for serving
Directions
Make the Chili
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until the beef is browned and the onion is softened, about6–8 minutes.
Stir in the garlic and tomato paste; cook for 1 minute.
Add the tomato sauce, beef broth, chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
Cook the Hot Dogs
Grill, pan-sear, or boil the hot dogs according to your preference until heated through.
Toast the Rolls
Split the Dave's Killer Bread Sandwich Rolls Done Right and lightly toast them on a grill, skillet, or under the broiler until golden.
Assemble
Place a hot dog in each toasted roll.
Spoon a generous amount of homemade chili over each hot dog.
Top with shredded cheddar cheese, diced red onion, and a drizzle of yellow mustard.
